"Wonderful Beach House"

The Venice Modern Secret Garden House is a wonderful place to stay, especially if you are traveling with a partner and/or a young child. The house is nicely decorated and comfortable. There is cable TV and a generous living room. The kitchen is stocked with all the necessary basics to cook and clean (there's even a dishwasher). There is also a washer and dryer for clothing and kitchen and bathroom towels. When we arrived in august, it was very hot and there is no air conditioning in the house! Luckily, there are a lot of windows and the coastal breeze was able to cool down the house. The windows also come with safety latches, which made us feel safe about keeping them open when we were in other rooms of the house. What we also loved about the house was the location. It is just two blocks away from Whole Foods. Plus, it is about a 15 minute walk to the beach! My family and I would wake up, cook breakfast, eat, and then walk to the beach and spend the morning enjoying the waves. We'd walk back home (it really does feel like home--not a sterile hotel), wash up, cook lunch, eat, and nap. In the afternoons, we'd walk around the neighborhood, check out stores on abbott Kinney, or walk down the promenade at the beach (there are many kid-friendly parks on the sand). We loved staying at the house so much that my family and I vowed to always try to book it each time we visit la. It's a beautiful house filled with all the amenities you will need to make your stay comfortable. It's close to the beach, a great grocery store, and restuarants galore. It's also much more affordable than nearby hotels with less amenities! Plus, Mario, the owner, is extremely nice and helpful.
